Internet Crimes Against Children

Internet Crimes Against Children LogoSocial networking sites and unsupervised internet usage have created an open forum for predators who seek contact with our children.  The internet has also made access to “child pornography” much more accessible as well as increasing the demand for new “child pornography”.

For these reasons, the Kenton County Police Department  has partnered with the Kentucky State Police Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force. The ICAC Task Force was created to enable state and local law enforcement agencies to develop an effective response to technology-facilitated child sexual exploitation and crimes.

The KSP ICAC Task Force is also a member with other ICAC participants throughout the nation including Federal Law Enforcement. This allows law enforcement to quickly respond to children in danger anywhere in the Country through our ICAC partners. KCPD provides one detective to work full time with the ICAC Task Force.
