Kenton County Fiscal Court is committed to honest budgeting, responsible spending, and financial transparency. In this spirit, the County has partnered with OpenGov to provide its citizens and stakeholders with the Financial Transparency Portal.
The occupational license fee is imposed for the privilege of engaging in any business, profession, occupation, or trade within Kenton County and Cities in Kentucky regardless of the legal residence of the party so engaged.
Effective January 1, 2023, Kenton County enacted Ordinance 226.10 to permit the Motor Vehicle License Fee on a broader range of motor vehicle renting/sharing companies as permitted by House Bill 8 of the 2022 Regular Legislative Session of the Kentucky General Assembly amending KRS 68.200.
