Kenton County Public Works is responsible for the maintenance of nearly 300 miles of Kenton County's roads, signage on county roads and maintenance of County bridges.

Kenton County Public Works is comprised of four divisions:

  • Public Services
  • Fleet Management
  • Solid Waste
  • Engineering Services

About Us

Public Services Division

The Public Services Division is likely the group you think of when you think of Public Works. They are responsible for services such as, but not limited to, snow removal, slide repairs, and culvert replacements. 

Fleet Services Division

Comprised of five employees, the Fleet Services division has over 85 years of combined experience.

Solid Waste Management

The Solid Waste Division is the most public-facing branch in our Public Works Department. This division is responsible for services and programs including, but not limited to, the trash voucher program, the spring & fall clean-up events, trash for cash, big blue recycling bins, the household hazardous waste collection event, and roadside litter pick-up.

Engineering Services

Comprised of three employees with over 32 years of combined experience, the Engineering Services Division in Kenton County Public Works is responsible for various services such as permitting, contract management, construction inspections, and sign maintenance.
