Each year the Kenton County Pioneer Awards recognize residents of Kenton County who have a record of outstanding service to the community and exemplify the highest standards of personal integrity. The Pioneer Awards honor those who demonstrate servant leadership combined with awareness of the needs of our fellow residents.
Nominations are due by Friday, March 14. A committee, composed of community leaders, will review the nominations, identify those deserving individuals and submit their names to the Kenton County Fiscal Court.
Honorees will be announced in April.
Once approved, honorees will be recognized at a Kenton County Fiscal Court meeting, in print and on social media.
Nominations can be made on the Kenton County website at bit.ly/PioneerAwards2025. Current elected officials are not eligible for recognition.
Since 2018, there have been 28 Pioneer Award honorees. The 2024 honorees were: Sister Jean Marie Hoffman, Donna Salyers and Jeanne Schroer.
