Kenton County Parks and Recreation (KCP&R) is accepting reservations for the upcoming shelter house season, which runs from April 17 to Oct. 18. Reservations may be made online, via phone or in-person at Kenton County Public Works, located at 420 Independence Station Road, Independence 41051.
Kenton County Parks & Recreation has eight shelter houses available to rent across four of our parks. Shelter house locations include:
- Lincoln Ridge Park (3)
- Middleton-Mills (2)
- Pioneer Park (2)
- Richardson Road Park (1)
Each shelter house is located within close proximity to park amenities. For instance, Middleton-Mills Park's Shelter House 1 is connected to a fishing pond, while Pioneer Park's Shelter House 2 adjoins new pickleball courts.
Reservation fees range from $40 to $90 (applicable KY sales tax may apply) depending on the day, location, size and amenities of the shelter. All reservations are non-refundable. For tax exempt entities, call (859) 392-1920 to make a reservation and to have the tax waived. A Sales Tax Certificate of Exemption must be received with reservation.
