[ARCHIVED] Spring Clean-Up Postponed, May Trash Vouchers Added

Due to the growing public health impacts of COVID-19 (Coronavirus), Kenton County Public Works is postponing the Spring Clean-Up that is typically held the first weekend in May. The new tentative dates for the clean-up are June 11th-13th from 8 AM – 6 PM.

The Spring Clean-Up will be held at Kenton County Public Works (420 Independence Station Road, Independence, KY 41051). Accepted items include:

  • garbage,
  • yard waste
  • appliances
  • eight tires (after eight, it will be $3 per tire)
  • car batteries,
  • anti-freeze,
  • 20 lb. propane tanks
  • motor oil

Hazardous material and waste will NOT be accepted. Hazardous items include, but are not limited to, paint, household cleaners and pesticides. Bricks, boats and concrete are also not accepted. Please bring help to unload waste. Clean-Ups are sponsored by Kenton County Fiscal Court.

Typically Trash Vouchers are not available during months with a clean-up. Because the clean-up has been rescheduled for June, Kenton County residents are able to obtain a voucher during the month of May. 200 vouchers will be available on a first come, first serve basis. Learn more and obtain a voucher online.
