[ARCHIVED] Shelter House Reservations to Begin Monday, February 3

Kenton County Parks and Recreation will begin accepting Shelter House reservations for the upcoming season beginning Monday, February 3 at 7:30 a.m. for online and in-person reservations.

Kenton County has a new platform for online reservations. Users must first create an account in order to make a reservation. Visit the facilities catalog to make an account and a reservation.

Reservations can also be made at the Kenton County Public Works and Parks & Recreation Administration office located at 420 Independence Station Rd. (in Lincoln Ridge Park), Independence, KY 41051.

Shelter Houses are available for reservation from April 12, 2020 through October 18, 2020. These reservations are for the Shelter Houses located within the parks maintained by Kenton County Fiscal Court. These parks include Lincoln Ridge, Middleton-Mills, Pioneer, and Richardson Road. 

Reservations fees vary from $35 to $80 (applicable KY sales tax may apply) depending on the day, location, size, and amenities of the shelter. All reservations are non-refundable. For a tax exempt entity, call 859-392-1920 to make reservation and to have the tax waived. A Sales Tax Certificate of Exemption must be received with reservation. 

For Special Events, including run/walk or larger events, call (859) 392-1920 for the application process. Special Events start at $150 depending on type of event and location. 

Shelter Houses are excellent venues for company and family picnics, birthday parties, reunions, wedding receptions, and celebrations of any kind!
