    This free program begins with a pre-program at 9:30 AM, the main program at 10:00 AM, a post-program at 11:00 AM, and lunch at 11:15 AM. There will also be free raffles of terrific donated prizes. 9:30 AM Pre-Program: Kenton County Parks & Recreation 10:00 AM Main Program: What's in Your Stream? with Foundation for Ohio River Education: Come tour the stream in your park or backyard. Learn from the Foundation for Ohio River Education who our neighbors are just beneath the waterline. A fun interactive hour about the animals who tell us the story of whether our stream is clean or not. 11:00 AM Post-Program: Kenton County Parks & Recreation 11:15 AM Lunch: Snack lunches will be available for $1 a person will include Snappy Tomato Pizza, fruit and veggies. Thanks to grants from Cincinnati Children’s and Greater Cincinnati Foundation. Rain or shine, at Pioneer Park in Shelter House 1.

  2. Maintain the Terrain with Sportsman's Warehouse

    July 29, 2021, 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM @ Doe Run Lake Park

    Sportsman’s Warehouse and Kenton County Parks & Recreation are teaming up to help maintain the terrain at Doe Run Lake. This Doe Run Lake Clean-Up will be held on Thursday, July 29 from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM. We invite you to come and join us while paddling the lake or hiking the trails. Bring your kayak or hiking shoes and enjoy our park all while preserving nature. Garbage bags, gloves and waste removal will be provided. Doe Run Lake is located at 1501 Bullock Pen Rd., Covington, KY 41017. Volunteers should meet in the parking area near the boat launch. For additional information, please call 859-525-PLAY (7529).
