(Almost) Every Thursday Science

Kenton County Parks & Recreation (KCP&R) is about to embark on their 14th season of ‘outstanding’ science programming in Kenton County’s Parks. (Almost) Every Other Thursday Science programs are interactive, educational and fun! The free programs begin with a pre-program at 9:30 AM, the main program at 10:00 AM, a post-program at 11:00 AM, and lunch at 11:15 AM. They are held, rain or shine, at Pioneer Park in Shelter House 1. 

All you need is a sense of wonder and KCP&R will take care of the rest. The programs are designed for everyone- don't miss a single adventure! There will also be free raffles for terrific donated prizes. 

2022 program dates are set:

June 2 – Magic of Science Unexplained with FamilyTime Entertainment

9:30 AM Pre-program: Kenton County Public Library
11:00 AM Post-program: Girl Scouts of Kentucky’s Wilderness Road

June 9 – Science of the Sea with Crystal Clear Science

9:30 AM Pre-program: Kenton County Public Library
11:00 AM Post-program: Dominach’s Taekwondo Academy

June 23 – Soil Science with Kenton County Conservation District

9:30 AM Pre-program: Kenton County Public Library
11:00 AM Post-program: Girl Scouts of Kentucky’s Wilderness Road

July 7 – Amazing Air with Crystal Clear Science

9:30 AM Pre-program: Kenton County Public Library
11:00 AM Post-program: Dominach’s Taekwondo Academy

July 21 – The Science of Juggling with Tom Sparough, the Space Painter

9:30 AM Pre-program: Kenton County Public Library
11:00 AM Post-program: NKCAC – Head Start 

August 4 – Captain Current VS. the Electricity Vampires with the Kentucky Science Center

9:30 AM Pre-program: Kenton County Public Library
11:00 AM Post-program: Dominach’s Taekwondo Academy 

 ABout the Program:

Snack lunches will be available for $1 a person will include Snappy Tomato Pizza, fruit and veggies. Lunch is served at 11:15 am.

(Almost) Every Other Thursday Science programs are free to attend and enjoy. Instead of money, KCP&R collects donations of non-perishable food and personal care items for Be Concerned. Your kind donations have helped way more than you know. Let’s keep giving! 

This program is in collaboration with our program partners and grants from Greater Cincinnati Foundation Summertime Kids and Cincinnati Children’s.
