Joe Nienaber Jr. was elected to serve his first term as Kenton County Commissioner on November 4, 2014. Before serving as a Commissioner, he was the Mayor of Fort Wright for 5 years and a council member for 6 years prior to that. He is a graduate of Covington Catholic High School and earned his BA in political science from Northern Kentucky University.
He is a self-employed contractor who has owned Granite World in Covington, KY for the past 7 years. Joe is a member of St. Agnes Church and a former 10-year volunteer with the Fort Wright Fire Department. He currently resides in Fort Wright with his wife Holly and their two daughters, Kylie and Kiersten.
