 MESSAGE FROM THE SHERIFF

Hello, I'm Sheriff Chuck Korzenborn and would like to thank you for visiting our web site. Hopefully, you will learn a lot about the office of the Kenton County Sheriff through this web site. I encourage you to e-mail or call me if you have questions or comments.

I was elected in 1999 to a four-year term as the Sheriff of Kenton County. I was running my family's business, which I did for more than 40 years, when Senator Dick Roeding and several police officers approached me. They suggested I seek the sheriff position because they believed I could bring back to the office the important dignity and accountability many thought it had been lacking.

Before deciding to run, I devoted many hours to researching the duties of the office. I also developed a strategic plan to improve the office's profile in the community and bring it back to its true role in the county as chief law enforcement agency.

After voters entrusted me with this job, I surrounded myself with capable, experienced law enforcement officials and developed an effective organizational structure that spells out all their responsibilities. They have helped me carry out my mission of ensuring that the taxpayers of Kenton County can rely upon a full-service Sheriff office.

Since taking office, I've made certain that every full-time deputy has been sent to the police academy and that all my bailiffs completed courtroom security training through the Administrative Office of the Courts. I've also streamlined tax collection, made paying your property taxes easier and focused more attention on serving outstanding arrest warrants.

Being your Sheriff is very rewarding. I look forward to the future challenges of the office. Now please take your time, browse the site and learn more about what I promise to do as your Sheriff.
