Solid Waste Management hosts free monthly clean-ups at Lincoln Ridge Park generally the first Saturday of every month from 9:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. These monthly clean-ups are intended for private Kenton County residents. You may be asked to show proof of residency.
Solid Waste Management also hosts a Fall and Spring Clean-Up. Visit the calendar to see a list of dates.
In the case of snow or ice during a clean-up time, the clean-up may be cancelled. The crews responsible for the monthly clean-up are the same crews responsible for snow removal. Please contact Public Works for updates in the case of snow or ice.
Unwanted appliances, trash, tires and other junk is accepted. Car batteries, anti-freeze, small (20lb.) propane tanks and used motor oil are accepted. Accepted materials also include fibers (mixed papers), glass, plastics and metals.
Car tires are accepted, but after four the fee will be $3.00 per tire.
Lincoln Ridge Park is located at 420 Independence Station Rd., Independence, KY 41051.
Follow the signs as you enter the park and Public Works staff will be there to direct you. Please bring help to unload as we are not always staffed to provide assistance.
Please note: Hazardous materials and paint will NOT be accepted. Hazardous items include, but are not limited to, paint, household cleaners, pesticides and shingles.

Accepted Items: Appliances (MUST be drained of all fluids), trash, yard waste and other junk items. Car tires (4) are accepted, but after four the fee will be $3.00 per tire. Please tarp and strap all loads to prevent litter.
Clean-ups are intended for private Kenton County Residents. Please bring proof of residency (Driver’s License with current address or your trash bill). Not intended for Business, including side Junk/Construction Debris Removal Business.
Hazardous materials, liquid waste, fluorescent bulbs, shingles, and any type of paint will NOT be accepted.
