Recycled Juggling Camp

June 28, 2006

jugglingpic_whiteThe Space Painter has been known to juggle clubs, rings, raisins, water bottles, umbrellas, shoes, Tic-Tacs, bowling balls, beanbag chairs, and believe it or not, small children!

He also tells great stories.  You can visit his website at http://www.SpacePainter.com.

Kenton County Parks & Recreation is taking reservations now for a Recycled Juggling Workshop to be offered at Middleton-Mills Park in Shelterhouse 2 from about 11:30 am until 1:00 pm on Wednesday, June 28th.

The workshop will follow Tom's presentation during Wild Wednesdays!  Then, when everyone else heads home, reuse your time in the park, and take a hands-on lesson in juggling from Tom Sparough, the Space Painter.  We will be using recycled materials to juggle and balance in three different ways.  The workshop is kid- and adult-friendly and open to any age.  If you are not at least seven years old, though, some of the tricks may be too difficult, but don't give up, because there will be lots of challenges that you can do.  We will juggle and balance using plastic bags, newspapers, and old socks.  Bring at least three socks (of the non-smelly variety!)  They need not match!  All other supplies will be provided.  You will leave the workshop with all you need to practice at home.

Don't miss out on the Recycled Juggling Workshop with Tom Sparough, the Space Painter!  Participation must be limited to the first forty paid registrants.  The fee is just $10.  Please make checks payable to Tom Sparough, the Space Painter and mail to Kenton County Parks & Recreation at 3902 Richardson Road, Independence, KY 41051.  We will call to acknowledge receipt of your check so be sure to add your telephone number.
