Kenton County Parks & Recreation will present COSI On Wheels three times this summer!  On June 15th, the program featured will be called the Science of Sports.  On July 20th, we'll Launch Into Space!  And on August 17th, we'll investigate the Science of Super Structures!

Programs will be held at Shelterhouse 1 in Pioneer Park beginning at 10:00 am each third Thursday of summer.  The free programs will be delivered in 45-minute theatrical assembly presentations.

June 15 – Science of Sports: Learn and discover the physics behind the favorite games we play!  Measure your jumping abilities, and explore friction and momentum in the context of Newton's Laws.

July 20 – Launch Into Space: Take a roundtrip voyage to space and explore rocket launches, life in space, and the return trip back to earth!  Launch cork rockets, learn about air pressure, and test food for use in space.

August 17 – Super Structures: Explore how buildings and other structures are designed and constructed.  Build structures, which can withstand earthquakes, explore the center of a mass of objects, and create a catenary arch.
