kris_knochelmann_smallKris Knochelmann, 35, of Crescent Springs was sworn in as Commissioner on Dec. 28th, 2006 to begin serving his four year term.  Commissioner Knochelmann is the General Manager of Knochelmann Plumbing, Heating & Air Conditioning – Service Experts, a Covington based residential and light commercial contracting firm with 42 employees serving all of Greater Cincinnati since 1968.  Knochelmann Service Experts was founded by his father John in 1968.  Kris joined the firm after graduating from Xavier University with a degree in accounting in 1991.

 

Commissioner Knochelmann has served his community in various service organizations.  Since 1991, Kris has served on the board of the Northern Kentucky Community Action Commission,  which encompasses programs such as Head Start, senior training, neighborhood centers, and weatherization, among others.  In addition to NKCAC, Kris has served on the board of Supported Living, a group home organization serving mentally disabled adults, as well as the Northern Kentucky United Way Action Council, and Covington Rotary where he serves as Secretary.  Kris serves his church, St. Joseph of Crescent Springs as chairperson of the parish finance commission.

 

The professional organizations Commissioner Knochelmann is involved in include the Kentucky Association of Plumbing, Heating, Cooling Contractors, the Northern Kentucky Master Plumbers Association, and the Northern Kentucky Heating Contractors Association.  He also serves on the board of advisors of the Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce and is a 2000 graduate of Leadership Northern Kentucky.  He is a member at large of the National Association of Plumbing, Heating, Cooling Contractors, Friends of Covington, ACCA, and the Greater Cincinnati Heating Contractors Association.

 

Commissioner Knochelmann resides in Crescent Springs with his wife Lisa and three children, daughter Liz, and sons Ben and Drew.   Commissioner Knochelmann is proud to be one of nine children and the proud uncle of 31 nephews and nieces and 4 great nephews and nieces.
