Fugitive Apprehension Team
Sheriff Korzenborn created the Fugitive Apprehension Team in 1999 to address constant complaints about the huge warrant backlog that went unchecked during previous administrations.
Currently the Fugitive Apprehension Team consists of two deputies that work in a covert capacity. They are also sworn U.S. Marshalls so this enables them the ability to cross state lines in search of suspects who have fled the area in hope of being untouchable.
In 2005, the Fugitive Apprehension Team checked more than 2,151 dwellings and served 539 warrants. They also worked with the U.S. Marshal1s for 210 hours assisting the agency track local people with federal crimes.
The Sheriff encourages anyone to report the whereabouts of any wanted person. To do so, call (859) 392-1800 or email Capt. Massey at Todd.Massey@kentoncounty.org. All information will be investigated. Tipsters will be kept confidential if requested. |
