General Requirements to Get Someone out of Jail (Post a Bond)

The District Court Clerk, unless the Court orders otherwise, accepts only the following as surety on a bond:

A surety company approved by the United States Department of Treasury;
Cash in an amount set by the court; or
A personal surety secured by Real Estate with the following conditions:

The Real Estate is located in Kentucky;
The Real Estate has unencumbered value of at least 110% of the bond amount;
The Real Estate is not owned by a corporation or partnership; and
If the property is held jointly, all joint tenants have executed the bond.

Depending on the Time of the Day.  You can Post your Bond at the following Locations:

Monday thru Friday Between 8:00am - 4:30pm

Circuit Court Clerk's Office

Monday thru Friday After 4:30pm and on Weekends
