Winter Bird Feeding AND Build-A-Feeder

Winter Bird Feeding AND Build-A-Feeder

January 14 at Kenton County Library/Durr branch

Brenda Clark, KCPL Adult Program Assistant and Steve Trauger, KCP&R Programs Coordinator will team up to present this educational and interactive program about birds, winter bird feeding, and bird feeders on Thursday, January 14 at the William E. Durr branch of the Kenton County Public Library in Independence. The fun begins at 7:00 pm and will last at least until 8:30 pm.

Sometimes people run out of bird food and even though winter is not over, that's the end of their feeding until next year. Find out why it's essential to continue feeding your neighborhood birds well into spring. Learn about different types of feeders for seed and suet, best seed recommendations, and what birds you can expect to attract to your backyard. You'll even get to make a feeder to take home!  Parent Required to assist the very young.

What type of feeder should I purchase? What type of seed should I buy? Bring your questions and personal observations to share. Join the fun! Bring a friend!

You can register online at http://www.kentonlibrary.org/events/reg.cfm?classID=15241&loc=3&ptype=0&kw=.
