August 4, 2007
Kenton County Parks & Recreation and the Army National Guard will present an event called Support the Troops in Your Community on Saturday, August 4 at Richardson Road Park. This free event will run from 1:00 to 5:00 pm and is designed to let people know that the old Twenhofel School has recently become a new National Guard Armory.

The National Guard will operate a rock climbing wall (with four climbing stations) and the Spider Tent. They will also have a Hummer on site and possibly even a helicopter. There will be games and plenty of giveaways.
Thanks to Northern Kentucky Youth Association, there will be picnic concessions (hamburgers and hotdogs with all the fixin's), bottled water, softdrinks, and a variety of candies) available for purchase with all proceeds to benefit their youth programs.
Richardson Road Park, located across from the Golf Courses of Kenton County, is easy to find.
