Evelyn signs she wants more! |
Kenton County Parks & Recreation will present this fun new program for children (of all ages!) called Sign It Silly on Friday, August 10 at Pioneer Park! Missy Cook has agreed to offer this program again after the first one was rained out!
Missy Cook, Sign Language Interpreter and Certified Kindersigns Instructor, will sing and sign some of your favorite children's songs. It's free! And it's gonna be fun!
This is a great program, not only for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing but also as an excellent opportunity to introduce your child to a second language and the possibility of living in a bilingual world.
Sign It Silly will take place at Pioneer Park in Shelterhouse 2. The fun starts at 10:00 am and will last about an hour and a half.
Pioneer Park is easy to find! From I-275, take Exit 80 (Covington/Independence) and go south on KY Hwy. 16 about one mile. You will see the park on your right before you come to the entrance. Turn right into the park, then turn left to get to Shelterhouse 2.
Call Kenton County Parks & Recreation at (859) 525-PLAY (7529) to see how you can help – we are always in need of volunteers and funding sponsors for our programs!
