March 17, 2007
Kenton County Parks & Recreation will present the Bluegrass State Winter Games Disc Golf event on Saturday, March 17 at Banklick
Woods Park. It's a one-day tournament: 2 rounds of 18-holes each.
You will be playing for Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals and Bluegrass bragging rights for an entire year!
Entry fee is just $20 when you pre-register (postmark before March 9) or register on-site the day of the event between 8:00 am and 8:30 am for $25. Registration includes commemorative mini disc.
Playing groups will be (semi) randomly selected for Round 1 so that players with little or no tournament experience get a chance to play with some of the best touring PDGA Pros and top Amateurs in Kentucky. Remember, we're all Kentuckians!
If you'd like to join us for lunch, bring an extra $5 with you and order pizza and soft drinks the morning of the event. It'll be ready immediately following Round 1!
After lunch, for Round 2, scorecards will be sorted by division, and by score, and you will be regrouped with the players in the same division whose scores are closest to yours. And it's "Game on!" There are 10 Amateur divisions and 3 Pro divisions for Men and Women alike to be contested. Lots of medals are available – especially for Girls and Women.
Except for the three Juniors divisions, age will be determined as of December 31, 2007. For Juniors, age will continue to be determined as of the tournament date, March 17. Download an entry form at http://www.bgsg.org/pdfs/winter_2007/indv_entry_form.pdf.
