Archery for the Very Beginner for Moms & Kids
June 18, 19, 21, 22 and June 25, 26, 28, and 29, 2007

Cupid uses one! Ted Nugent uses one! Ever think that you'd like to try the sport of Archery? Here's your chance!

Due to the popularity of last year's programs, Kenton County Parks and Recreation and Vikki Rawe will facilitate two programs this season. Session 1 will begin on June 18 and is an eight-day, two-week instructional program for moms and kids. Kids must be between 10-15 years of age. Moms can be any age and we won't ask! Learn the in's and out's of Archery in a safe, controlled environment. This is a terrific program for kids with their moms and will teach the technique and discipline needed to become a proficient shooter with bow and arrow.

Session 1 will run for two consecutive weeks on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday each week and begin at 9:30 am each day. Cost is just $80 per participant.

Session 2 will be held on July 16, 17, 19, and 20 (just one week), and costs just $40 for the four-day program. Session 2 will begin at 9:00 am each day, rather than 9:30 am.

Both programs will be held at Middleton-Mills Park, near Shelterhouse 2, and will begin each day at 9:30 am each day.

Directions to Middleton-Mills Park are easy! From I-275, take Exit 79 (Covington-Taylor Mill) and go seven miles south on KY Hwy. 16 to Mills Road. Turn left on Mills and go about one mile to the park, then follow signs to Shelterhouse 2.

To register for either session, call Vikki Rawe at (859) 635-0037 or KCP&R at (859) 525-PLAY (7529).

Call Kenton County Recreation at (859) 525-PLAY (7529) to ask how you can help – we are always in need of volunteers and funding sponsors for our programs!
