The Golf Courses of Kenton County are proud to announce its partnership with The First Tee program of greater Cincinnati.  Established in 1997, The First Tee has a goal of impacting the lives of young people by providing learning facilities and educational programs that promote character development and life- enhancing values through the game of golf.  To date, The First Tee has touched the lives of over 3 million young people worldwide and continues to grow.

The First Tee has established nine core values that represent some of the many inherently positive values connected with the game of golf:

Sportsmanship

Respect

Confidence

Responsibility

Perseverance

Courtesy

Judgment

Each week, participants learn about themselves and others through a range of experiences enhancing their golf skills as well as their fundamental values for life.  These life lessons are taught through a variety of golf related activities with the primary goal of having fun.

            As a host facility, The Golf Courses of Kenton County has the opportunity to impact the lives of young Kenton County residents.  The life lessons that are learned through The First Tee are lessons that will remain with these young people well into their future, regardless of how long they play golf for recreation.
